Myoko

Welcome to beautiful mountain ranges, fresh water lakes and lush forests.

Myoko is a mountain town located in South-West Niigata, just across the border from Nagano, and a 3 and a half hour drive from Tokyo. A vibrant snow resort town in the winter, Myoko is transformed into a cool highland reprieve from the cities in the summer. Surrounded by magnificent mountain ranges and lush forests, nearby are breathtaking natural wonders such as Naena Falls, Lake Nojiri and Tsubame Onsen. Myoko is the perfect place for children to take a break from the busyness of city life and experience the cool, fresh mountain air so that they can play and learn with a clear and calm mind.

Our Camps English SDG's

Since 2009, our dedicated team has operated an international snowsports school, Myoko Snowsports, during the winter months. Building on that strong foundation of outdoor education, we launched English Explorers to provide a purposeful English Summer Camp in Japan that is rooted in nature and personal growth. We believe that learning happens best when students are fully engaged with the world around them.

Our bilingual leaders are experts in child development and outdoor safety. They provide a secure, immersive environment where English is used as a practical tool for adventure. By using original curriculum materials and daily reflection sessions, we help campers foster true independence and essential global communication skills.

In the stunning wilderness of Myoko, Japan, our staff guide children through the unknown and show them how the world expands through language. Our vision is for every camper to leave our English Summer Camp in Japan with the confidence to connect with international peers and the tools to thrive in a global society. Whether they are exploring local forests or participating in group workshops, students are always gaining new perspectives.
