Job Description

As a camp supporter, your primary responsibility is to assist in ensuring the smooth running of the camp. This involves helping the camp leaders with pre-activities and wrapping them up, preparing and serving meals, maintaining the cleanliness of accommodations, and carrying out any other general tasks requested by the camp manager.

Key Responsibilities

– Assist in the setup and breakdown of camp facilities and equipment.

– Supervise and support campers during activities, meals, and free time.

– Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times.

– Assist with organizing and leading games, crafts, and other camp activities.

– Serve as a positive role model for campers, promoting teamwork, respect, and inclusivity.

– Communicate effectively with campers, fellow staff members, and camp management.

Requirements

– Fluent or proficient in English (additional languages such as Japanese is a plus).

– Prior experience working with children in a camp or educational setting preferred.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing situations.

– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

– CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Duration & Compensation

This position is seasonal and will require full time work across 5 days each week over 5 weeks. The duration of employment will vary based on camp schedules. Accommodation and meals will be covered during each session and 2 days off are allocated between each session.
