Who we are

“English Explorers” began with the goal of encouraging children to step outside their comfort zones, discover nature, and grow through new experiences. While language has been one part of the journey, our programs focus on fostering self-expression, leadership, and cooperation through hands-on exploration and adventure.

Not just an English camp

Adventure & Culture Camp

If your child is already fluent in English, or a native speaker, consider our Adventure & Culture Camp (June 15 – July 10). It’s a fantastic five-day experience (Sunday–Thursday) where they’ll build confidence and teamwork while diving into Japanese history—no heavy language instruction needed.

Outdoor English Immersion Camp

For children aiming to enhance their English skills or cultivate other valuable abilities, our Outdoor English Immersion Camp (July 20 – August 28) offers a dynamic mix of learning and adventure. Each morning begins with a focused one-hour lesson tailored to individual English proficiency, or a workshop dedicated to developing leadership, creativity, or outdoor skills. Following the lesson, participants engage in a morning activity block, applying their learning in practical ways. The afternoon features another activity block, offering further opportunities for immersive outdoor challenges and skill development.

Why Myoko?

Myoko, situated in South-West Niigata, near the Nagano border, is a region of exceptional natural beauty. Our camps are based in Akakura, a charming town at the foot of Mount Myoko. In the summer, this area transforms from a popular winter ski destination into a cool, refreshing highland retreat. The region is characterized by lush forests, stunning mountain ranges, and nearby natural wonders like the serene Lake Nojiri and the powerful Naena Falls. Akakura’s location makes it an ideal base for exploring this diverse and captivating environment.
